Actor Prakash Raj has lodged a formal complaint against a YouTube channel, alleging death threat due to his remarks on Sanatana Dharma. The Ashok Nagar police station in Bengaluru have filed an First Information
Report (FIR) against Vikram TV YouTube Channel and began investigating into the case.
In his complaint, the versatile actor claimed that Vikram TV had posted a video on YouTube containing inflammatory speeches that posed a danger to his life.
One excerpt from the video mentioned in Raj's complaint reads: "Stalin and Prakash Raj must be finished? What must Hindus do? Your blood does not boil?"
Additionally, Prakash Raj asserted that the video depicted him and his family members in a negative light, further inciting people. He maintained that the video amounted to a life-threatening communication directed at him and his family, and therefore, he urged authorities to take action against the owner of the YouTube channel and others involved.
As of now, the video has garnered over 89,000 views. The alleged threats emerged following the actor's comments about Sanatana Dharma.
An FIR has been registered under IPC sections 506 (pertaining to criminal intimidation), 504 (concerning intentional insults leading to provocation), and 505(2) (relating to the sale of printed or engraved material containing defamatory content)
